This old site will be completely redesigned and split into two parts, "A" will be the MOOTMASTER.COM site containing general mooting information and links  "B" will be a UCE specific site.

UCE students will be able to "join" online to receive emails and SMS massages about forth comming moots and events.

Any interested Law students will be able to assist build the site which initially will make use of an online package that is very simple to use.

Mooting dates right back to the 15th Century, believe it or not. During that time it was the main education tool used by the Inns of Court to teach its students about the battlefield that was the courts. Mooting taught and remains to teach the art of persuasion, timing, integrity and strong public performance and is a priceless experience to have for any budding lawyer, infact for those wanting to be barristers mooting is almost considered requisite. There is no doubt mooting is not for the faint hearted- as it can require strong nerve, passion, meticulous research and sometimes quick reflexes! But for every ounce of effort you put in, mooting will repay you with an ounce of experience. Here at UCE we have amazing facilities such as the courtroom and we have fantastic resources in the shape of committed staff, the library and moodle. Plus we have some of the most conscientous students around...hence we have the potential to rock the mooting world...

The only quibble about mooting though, is getting people involved. UCE's mooting society has begun to thrive with the introduction of involvement for first years students this year, but we want to make it even better! So this site is genuinely made for UCE students, by UCE students, with the aim of promoting the benefits of mooting and developing our mooting society to being one of the biggest and best in the in the country.This site should supply its visitors with all the relevent information on ; fixtures, weblinks, question practice, research, competitions and social events. 

We hope to make this a interactive website too, so we have set up the website with a supporting email system- so all its members can communicate effectively and quickly!
